Today is Sunday, July 12, 2026. It is also the last day of my vacation. Well, stay-cation really. I've been off since Thursday the 2nd of July and - if I'm being honest here - I'm not really ready to "go back to work". It's unusual for me to feel this way, I don't do vacations. I don't like time away from work. I'm not a workaholic, I just like to keep things the way they are. Vacation is change, and I don't like that. I think that's what it is. But, this has been different. I don't know, maybe I'm changing in my old age.
We had planned to work in the garage. There's a lot of old stuff that we need to go through and either discard (most likely) or have a garage sale (less likely). Garage sales are a lot of work, and who want to work on their vacation. I'll give you three guesses as to whether or not we worked in the garage, but you'll only need one. We did not. However, we did manage to get some work done in our room. Which needed it - so, that's good. Everything is not perfect, but it's much better.
A couple of our kiddos had a Summer Honor Choir convention and performance. Fortunately it was here in town - being a State-wide choir it could have been anywhere I suppose - so there was no travel required on our part. Whew. This upcoming week will get things back into somewhat of a normal flow, both of us back to work and schlepping the kiddos back and forth to their rehearsals.
Good grief, soon we're gonna have to start worrying about school starting back up.
That's all that I've got for now. Here are some of the links that have made their way through my RSS feed that caught my attention.
Thanks for reading.
